The Stepping Stones transition to school program is aimed to make your child's transition from home/preschool to school as positive an experience as possible through a series of visits to the classroom.

Stepping Stones will take place over four mornings and four afternoons and will incorporate activities for both parents and children.  If you are unable to accompany your child for the eight session, a grandparent or other nominated adult would be welcome in your place.  If you experience difficulty arranging for an adult to stay with your child on these days, please contact the school on 43990167.

Parents/caregivers are expected to attend the first two morning and the first two afternoon sessions with their child in the classroom.  The remaining two morning and afternoon sessions, parents/caregivers will attend their own sessions in the SaCC building based on the different aspects of their child's schooling.

The first sessions will take place on the following mornings:

Session 1: Thursday 10th September, 8.30-10.30am
Session 2: Thursday 17th September, 8.30-10.30am
Session 3: Thursday 24th September, 8.30-10.30am
(you may like to stay for morning tea)
Session 4: Thursday 1st October, 8.30-10.30am (you may like to stay for morning tea)

Please ensure that you complete and return a Department of Education enrolment form to enrol your child for school in 2009 and a Stepping Stones Enrolment Form by Friday 20th August if you wish your child to be included in Stepping Stones.

Parents are also invited to bring their children to the Orientation morning in November (Term 4). Further details will be available at a later date.
